Himalayan Garhwal University, established in the year 2016, is one of the public university of the state of Uttarakhand which is located in Pauri Garhwal district of India. It was founded in 2016 and is recognized by the University Grants Commission of India and has an NAAC accreditation of B++ grade. As per the NIRF Ranking 2023, Himalayan Garhwal University was in the band of 151-200 Universities of India.
The university has a strong and diverse portfolio of undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs across various fields including arts and humanities, business and commerce, science and technology, engineering, education, law and agriculture. The main undergraduate programmes are BA, BSc, BCom, BCA, and BBA. At post graduate level the offered programs of the university include MBA, MCA, Msc IT, MSc, MA, MCom, M.Phil and Ph.D.
Himalayan Garhwal University has placed its students with over one hundred reputed organisations, covering both private industries and government sectors. Majority of the job opportunities are in TCS, Infosys, Wipro, IBM, HCL Technologies and a number of public sector banks. More than 80 percent of student got placed in various companies and the average salary band was 3-5 lakhs for graduates and 5-8 lakhs for post graduate students. The highest salary started up to 12 LPA so far that has been offered to the students. The job positions that students have been posted to include software developers, business analysts, marketing executives, accountants and Human Resource managers amongst others.

The Himalayan Garhwal University Garhwal has a dedicated placement cell and thus offers placement to students from different courses offered in the university. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Infosys, Wipro, HCL, Tech Mahindra, and CGI are some of the big companies that engage in campus recruitments. The maximum of the salary offered during the placement drive of 2022-23 was 18 LPA offered by Microsoft. The median salary of the offered placements was about 6.2 LPA. The university placement drive saw more than 85% of the 2022-23 batch securing placements through the campus placement programmes.
