ICFAI University, Sikkim is one of the fast-growing university situated in the beautiful mountainous area of Sikkim. The University was established in 2011, and in a short span of time, it has grown to become one of the premier Universities in North East India. The University has received approval from UGC and AICTE and is also an ISO 9001:Integrated 2015 certified institute. It has been accredited grade ‘A’ by NAAC and it has a CGPA of at 3.31 in a 4 point scale. The NIRF India Rankings 2023 were recently released where Icfai University, Sikkim was placed in the bracket of 101-150 universities in the country.
It provides a large selection of undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses in faculties of Management, Science, Law, Education and Computer Applications and many more. Some of the most demanded courses that are offered in the universities include BBA, B.Com, MBA, B.Tech, LLB, B.Ed etc. As for the admission process, it usually begins February every year. This is through entrance tests such as ICFAI University Entrance Test (IUCET) and an interview. ICFAI University ,Sikkim Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. BTech (CSE/ECE/Civil): Science stream with minimum 50% aggregates in PCBMC (Physics, Chemistry, Maths & Biology).
2. BBA: Minimum 10 + 2 in any stream with 50% marks in aggregate.
3. BCA: A candidate should have passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics as an additional subject and having 50% marks in aggregate.
4. BCom (Hons): Candidates with 10+2 in any stream with minimum 50% marks in aggregate will be considered for admissions.
5. BA (Hons) Economics: He/She should have passed minimum 50% marks aggregate in 10+2 in any stream.
6. MTech: A B.Tech/B.E. degree from the relevant field with 50% aggregate marks as less than this percentage is not acceptable.
7. MBA: Having a minimum of 50% marks aggregate in any bachelor’s degree of any recognized university.
8. MCA: Minimum of a 50% average in the undergraduate level of education, (bachelor’s degree). Mathematics at least up to 10+2 or graduation level.
9. MA (Economics): Minimum eligibility criterion for this post is having a Bachelor’s degree in Economics or in any other related field with not less than 50% marks in aggregate.
