IIT Delhi is one of the Indian Institutes of Technology which is established in New Delhi. Founded in 1961, the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, is considered an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India. IIT Delhi is a self-governing university accredited by NAAC having Grade A++ status of academic performance. 1. Educational Qualification: Secondary school certificate from board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as a main subject passed. The minimum percentage for the admission should be at least 75% (SC/ST students should have at least 65%).
2. Age Limit: Should be belonging to the modern age which begins from October 1, 1997. 5yr extension for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
3. Exams: Should have a valid score in JEE Main Exam but among the top ranks in JEE (Advanced) exam. The highest rankers in JEE Main are the ones selected for JEE Advanced. The ranks for qualifying are not specific each year.
4. Subject Combinations: To apply for a BTech program, the applicant should have made Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of Class 12th or equivalent able to pass exams. Students should have matched the minimum of 75% aggregate marks in physics, chemistry and mathematics. It should be 65% for the students belonging to the reserved category.
5. Number of Attempts: Once can give this exam (JEE Main + Advanced) at the max for consecutive 2 years. Spending the next five years, the examinees who passed Class 12th in previous years can appear as any number of times as they wish to up to the age limit.
