IIT Tirupati is one among the young IITs which was set up by the Government of India in the year 2015. It is a fully government approved, recognised and self-financing NAAC Grade A accredited superior engineering and technology institute of the country. According to the new NIRF ranking system 2023, IIT Tirupati is placed at 37 among all the engineering colleges in India.
The institute provides the BTech programs in different fields of engineering such as computer science & engineering, electrical & electronics engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, and chemical engineering. It also provides MTech, MS and PhD in many specializations under several departments of the university. JEE Advanced exam is taken for qualifying the candidate for the BTech program while for MTech as well as MS programs GATE score is mandatory.

1. 10+2 level examination passed in science stream, with not less than seventy five percent marks (sixty five percent in case of SC/ST/PwD) from a recognized University/Board.
2. Original scores in JEE (Advanced) exam conducted by the IITs for the candidate on the basis of their performance in JEE (Main) exam.
3. For preparatory courses, the candidate must have cleared the 10+2 exam in Science stream with minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwD).
4. For 5-year dual degree program, a valid JEE (Advanced) score is required and the candidate has to clear the 10+2 examination.
5. M.Tech program require the minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwD) in B.Tech/B.E. or equivalent degree.
6. Minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwD) in the relevant bachelor’s degree is needed for getting admission in M.Sc programs.
IIT Tirupati was all set and prepared to offer a brilliant placement drive for the batch of 2024. More than 150 organizations actively took part in the placement drive and 307 students of IIT Tirupati received 541 offers. Some of the key recruiting companies that participated were Microsoft, Texas Instruments, Nutanix, Goldman Sachs. Microsoft was the company that made the most number of offers with 43 total offers made. The highest packages offered were of Rs. 45 lakhs per annum by Texas Instruments and the average salary offered was of Rs. 16.45 lakhs per annum. Campus placement was prevalent in the case of 70 percent of the students; the rest chose higher studies or other opportunities.
