The Indian Institute of Information Technology Kota or IIIT Kota is currently offering only BTech programs including Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. The eligibility requirements for these programs are; the candidate must have passed class 12 or its equivalent with minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST)in PCM subjects. For the admission in BTech programme of IIIT Kota the students are required to take the national level entrance exams conducted for admission in engineering colleges like JEE Main, KCET etc. The program is also available in Computer Science, Electronics, Data Science streams for the duration of 4 years for MTech and integrated MTech. Admission to the programmes is possible only if students are able to qualify JEE Advanced or GATE.
The IIIT Kota offers Programs at UG, PG and Doctoral level in Streams of Computer Science, Electronics and Telecommunication, Mathematics, Management Sciences, Design.

The prerequisites for admissions to PhD across departments involve candidates possessing a Master’s degree in the respective field with a minimum of 60% marks in total. The allowed qualifying examinations are GATE, NET, or any other national level examination that is equivalent to these two tests. It is also possible to find some departments that accept MPhil degree holders. The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering in Computer Science (GATE CS) or National Eligibility Test Computer Science (NET Computer Science) is accepted by the Computer Science PhD program, while Electronics department accepts Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering Electronics Communication (GATE EC) or National Eligibility Test Electronics (NET Electronics). The PhD program in Mechanical engineering at IIIT Kota requires the candidate to produce legitimate GATE ME or NET Mechanical Engineering certificate.
