The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) is one of the thought leaders in the business school field in India, and Established in 1961. It serves a management education quality peer to peer. For the last number of years IIMA has gained the reputation of being among the best management universities in world. In this purpose, the institute offers a 2year full-time Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP), which is considered the institute's flagship program, emphasises on the elements of leadership and problem-solving skills.
On the other hand, the school launched the first 1year EPGP (Post Graduation Programme in Management) via online mode in 2024 to meet the needs of the working professionals. The PGP 2024-26 batch of Common Admission Test (CAT) will be held in November. Applicants who are on shortlist will hear from us in January-February 2024 and and need to pass Personal Interview and Writing Ability Test. The shortlisting will be made on the premises of CAT scores, grades, personal interview performance, work experience, diversity plus other factors.

1. The candidate must have a bachelor degree, which should be satisfied by at least a 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. The degree can be in whatever area interest you e.g. humanities, business, science, mathematics, engineering etc.
2. The candidates who have already gone for their final year bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification examination can also apply. However, they will be required to provide a certificate with the principal head of the department or the institute or university to that effect at the time of registration.
3. The candidate should be the one who has enrolled with a minimum of 50% marks in 10th, 12th and bachelor classes. Reservations for SC/ST/PwD candidates are further lowered to 5% in comparison to OBC/General Categories.
4. For PGP program the experience is not a required one. Nevertheless, it is desirable from the candidate’s end that he/she has 2 or more years of working experience so that he/she can put their learning to practice at IIM Ahmadabad.
5. Students must need to sit for the Common Admission Test (CAT) and conform to satisfactory percentile scores. The people who qualify are reached out for a one-on-one interview and Written Ability Test.
6. Apart from the necessities of having the basic eligibility criteria listed above, the candidates should also show the fulfilment of various additional shortlisting criteria that IIM Ahmedabad sets for the candidates.

1. First register for Common Admission Test (CAT)- CAT is the exam taken for IIM Ahmedabad and other IIMs. It is designed to assess students' numerical, word and logical problem-solving ability.
2. Screen your selection for Written Test and Personal Interview - On the basis of CAT scores and other criteria thus selected candidates are prepared for the next round which consists of a Written Ability Test and Personal Interview.
3. Writing Aptitude Test - It is an essay based test that has questions related to social topics, business scenarios etc. Through these types of questions, ability of the candidate to think critically in such a situation is gauged.
4. Personal Interview - an interview panel of experts take under consideration an applicant's transcripts, extracurricular activities, objectives, communication skills and personality.
5. Final Selection - This is done using the cat, written test, and the interview scores which are compiled to form a merit list. As per the grade requirement of IIM-A, final selection and allotment lists of top candidates are released.
6. Conclude with Acceptance of the Offer and Enrollment - Applicants who have been offered admission will have to accept the offer, fill in an enrollment form and complete admission formalities.
