Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu is one of the several IIMs launched by the Government of India in the year 2016. The establishment of IIM Jammu is mandated by the Ministry of Education, Government of India with AICTE approval and UGC recognition: NBA and NAAC accreditation at the Grade A level IIM Jammu is ranked in the 101-150 band in the NIRF India Rankings 2023 for management colleges.
IIM Jammu currently operates with two degree programmes which are the post graduate diploma in Management and Entrepreneurship streams. MBA or PGPM is the flagship 2 year course which imparts general management and entrepreneurial qualifications. CAT exam is conducted as a prerequisite for gaining an admission followed by personal interview and written test. The admission process for the batch 2024-26 will be conduct in July 2024. CAT accounts for more than 95% of the available seats as to the remaining 5% applicants may have obtained their degree through other routes such as GMAT/GRE.

IIM Jammu Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. Graduate degree or its equivalent for all the programmes with minimum 50% marks or equivalent CGPA.
2. Valid CAT/GMAT/GRE score required. CAT preferred over GMAT and GRE business schools.
3. No previous work experience is required but would be an added advantage when considering admission. Fresher can also apply.
4. No age limit. Anyone who is above the age of seven years can apply.
5. Public relations knowledge; Problem solving and communication skills; Good analytical skills.
6. All around profile like academic record, entrance test score, work experience taken into consideration for selecting candidates.
IIM Jammu Placements 2024
Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu has maintained exemplary placement trends for its 2024 batch. More than 90 organizations took part in the campus placement and almost all students received good job offers. Employers such as Accenture Strategy, Amazon, Deloitte, Flipkart, JPMorgan Chase, Uber and Visa were the main recruiters available. The maximum salary that was provided by the recruiters was Rs. 29.76 lakhs per annum and the average salary was Rs. 16.66 lakhs per annum. Even during the covid 19 cases, IIM Jammu proved its mettle and within three days of the drive commencement, the institute got hundred percent placements. Many sectors such as BFSI, e-commerce, technology, FMCG, and strategy consulting including IBM, Citi, ITC, and JP Morgan Chase were present which offered excellent positions to the talented students.
