IIMK is one of the prestigious business schools of South India and enjoys high rankings among other MBA institutes in India. It is founded in 1996 by the Government of India in partnership with the State Government of Kerala it is an autonomous public business school. IIMK is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is accredited with a Grade-A by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). In the NIRF Rankings 2023 announced recently, IIMK is placed at 6th position in the management institute category in India.
IIMK provides number of PG diploma courses as per the specialization of the management through the national level test like CAT. The PGP has further fields of specialization which include the PGP in Finance, PGP in Marketing, PGP in Operations, PGP in IT & Quality Services, PGP in Human Resources and the PGP in Business Policy. Selection procedure includes short listing for Personal Interview after converting CAT scores, Academic profile, Work Experience etc into weights and then selecting the candidate having highest composite score. For the freshers of the year 2024, the CAT examination will be held on 26th November 2023. It is expected to release its results before the second week of January 2024 and it anticipates to commence its classes in June 2024.
IIMK has a good placement record with some reputed companies from all the fields and sectors visiting the campus to place the students. Overall, a total of 123 companies visited for final placement for the 2023 batch and 413 students got placed. Some of the top recruiters were Microsoft, BCG, PwC, Deloitte, TAS, HUL, Nestle, ITC,Asian Paints etc. The highest package offered was 58.47 LPA, the average package being 29 LPA. It was revealed that 25% of the offered jobs were related to the IT/Consulting/FMCG sector.

IIM Kozhikode Placements 2024
There has been a very good placement for the graduating batch of IIM Kozhikode with major recruiters being BCG, McKinsey , Bain & Company, amazon, Microsoft , Flipkart etc. The institute had registered a 28 percent rise in average salaries from last year top packages of which touched 50 LPA. The consulting sector has again maintained its position of being the largest recruiter for freshers and hired 36% of the students followed by sales & marketing which hired 28% of the students. The highest international salary received a hike of 66 percent to reach 1.52 CPA in this year. The average salary also understand a raise to 28.45 LPA as compared to 22.29 LPA.
