IIM Sirmaur, one of the newly created IIMs, was established under the Government of India. Sirmaur campus is one of the newest IIMs and is situated in the Himachal Pradesh, India, which was granted AICTE approval in the year 2008 and recognized by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. By attaining the NAAC Grade A accreditation, IIM Sirmaur did prove that it is imparting quality education. According to NIRF 2023 ranking, IIM Sirmaur was positioned at 81st place in terms of management institutions in India.
The institute sanctions a two year full time Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) programme with specialization in marketing, finance, human resource management, operation management, IT &Analytics. The courses offered are undergraduates and postgraduates for which admission is granted based on the CAT exam scores. The selection process passes through several phases, including the written ability test, personal interviews and micro-presentations. For admission in the PGDM course, the applicants require a bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks.

1. Graduate degree or equivalent with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA and relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PH/Foreign/ NRI/Ex-serviceman and any other category to be decided by the University.

IIM Sirmaur has been steadily growing with time. The B-school had major recruiters in 2023 which included Deloitte, KPMG, EY, PwC, Nestle, HUL, Asian Paints, Colgate Palmolive, Berger Paints, and Marico. The median salary rose to Rs. 18.41 lakh per annum in 2023 with reference to the Rs 14.15 lakh per annum in 2023. The maximum salary offered was up to Rs. 45 LPA and the median salary was Rs 21.20 LPA. Companies like Deloitte, TATA Steel, Vedanta participated in the placements and offered students jobs in sales & marketing, consulting, analytics, IT/Systems, finance domains which recorded a 27 percent increase to the number of recruiters than the previous year.
