Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli (IIM Trichy) is a management institute situated in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu. It is the youngest IIM and has the status of an Institution of National Importance according to Indian Institutes of Management Act 2017. It has been accredited to the NAAC Grade ‘A’ status, which is a testament to the standard academic delivery. 1. The candidate should have a minimum of 50% marks in the Bachelor’s degree or equivalent examination or minimum 50% in equivalent CGPA.
2. Schedule Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Persons with Disabilities category candidates must have 45% marks or an equivalent grade in their bachelor’s degree.
3. The bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification should be from an Indian University or any other University recognized by an Act of the Parliament or any other Act as incorporated under section 3 of AICTE.
4. CAT exam: minimum sectional cut-offs completed by the candidate including overall CAT percentile should be above 80.
5. Aspiring candidates should have passed education with the listed percentage of marks in regular mode only.
Placement of IIM Tiruchirappalli attracts the best recruiters for the passing-out batch every year. Presently, over 140 companies visit the institute for its services and these include Microsoft, Bain & Company, Boston Consulting Group, and Flipkart among others. The maximum offer made was Rs.58.48 lakhs per annum while the average offer made was Rs.25.08 lakhs per annum, which also revealed a hike of about 30% from the previous year. A record showed that more than 92% of the eligible students that wrote placement examination secured employment slots. The consulting companies made the highest number of offers whereas the FMCG sector and IT/ITES sectors offered the next highest numbers of offers.
