Indian Institutes of Management is a group of management and business schools, located in Amritsar being one among the newly set up IIMs in India which was founded in the year 2015. IIM Amritsar is also an autonomous institute which is recognized by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India and is categorized under Institutions of National Importance. It was given Category-II Graded Autonomy Status by the University Grant Commission and has been accredited by NAAC with Grade ‘A’. In the latest NIRF Rankings 2023, released in June 2022, IIM Amritsar secured the 13th position among all Management Institutes in India.
IIM Amritsar provides Post Graduate Diploma in various field of managements such as Human Resource Management Operations Management Marketing Management Finance Business Analytics and International Business. The admission process is based on the qualifying CAT exam which is then succeeded By WAT-PI rounds. As for the batch of 2024, the CAT 2022 exam dates are November 27, 2022. The personal interview and the writing ability test is to be conducted for the shortlisted candidates during February to April 2023. These courses start from the month of June in 2024. Apart from the flagship PGDM programs, IIM Amritsar also focuses on executive education programs, faculty development programs and a host of other PG certificate programs in Business Management, Business Analytics and Fintech.
