Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University For Women (IGDTUW) is a state university in Delhi, which is for women and is dedicated to offering technical education. IGDTUW, founded in 1998, is accredited by the University Grants Commission and accredited by All India Council for Technical Education. The details of the NAAC Grade and CGPA Score of the university are as under: NAAC Grade A and CGPA Score 3.01. In the NIRF rankings newly released for the year 2023, IGDTUW is in the 101-150 band for Universities in India.
IGDTUW caters for undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level covering fields such as engineering, technology , applied arts, sciences among others. Some of the main courses being offered by the institute are the B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA, M.Sc., M.A. And Ph.D programs in Computer Science, Electronics & IT, Instrumentation Control, Manufacturing Technology, Engineering Physics and many more. Online and offline examination are taken based on academic calendar. The basic admission takes place once in the academic year and for batch 2024, the admissions are done based on the central/ state level entrance tests. The application process tends to be in Jan Feb of each calendar year. Entrance test results and previous academic performance play a major role in making the selection.
IGDTUW has a good placement cell which takes care of placements and internships in government as well as private sectors. Wipro, infosys, TCS, Cognizant, Accenture, Tech Mahindra, L&T, Samsung etc are some of the major companies who have provided employment opportunities to the students in previous years. The maximum salary given till now is Rs.180000 per annum & the average salary range that has been seen is between Rs 40000-60000 per annum. About 7000 students registered with the organization to get placed through campus interviews and about 70% of the students got placed in the last 3 years.

IGDTUW is a women-only university that is approved by UGC and AICTE which offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes in engineering, technology, applied sciences and management. Being the first women’s technical university of India, the IGDTUW was set up in 2013 to spread the cause of technical education among women only.
IGDTUW provides the BTech during Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Information Technology and Mechanical & Automation Engineering. It also provides MTech in VLSI Design, Power Electronics & Drives, Computer Science & Engineering streams. In addition, IGDTUW offers MBA, MCA, MSc and PhD courses in field such as Applied Chemistry, and Mathematics & Computing, Environment Management and Nanotechnology etc.
