- M.Tech admission in India is normally through entrance examination conducted in exams such as GATE besides academic performance in the bachelor degree courses. The good GATE scores in the civil engineering subjects are usually expected.
- The procedures of applying for a room are usually done several months before the beginning of a new academic term. The application process takes place during December-January for admissions to programs that begin in July-August.

- Preferential weightage may be given to GATE qualified candidates and those having research/ teaching experience and publications in refereed journals.
- Refund of the amount paid as per reservation policies and relaxations as per the ruling of the Government are allowed for candidates of the reserved categories.

2. Fill Application Form
The application forms are available on the IITRAM website. Complete all fields of the form carefully and ensure that you provide all necessary information and documents.
3. Pay Application Fee
Application fee: Pay online or other accepted forms of payments as indicated. Keep proof of payment.
4. Send Documents
Some of the documents should be uploaded online while submitting the form while the others should be posted or submitted personally later. Among these are 10th/12th mark sheets, graduation mark sheets/degree, GATE score card, etc.
5. Make Education Loan Application (if necessary).
Those who unable to cover their fees and need take an education loan to complete their studies should apply through banks or financial institutions now only.
6. Attend Counselling
If shortlisted for the particular course then, do not forget to attend the admission counselling on time. Documents should be self-attested as originals to be carried for verification.
7. How to Apply & Join.
If offered a place at the university, accept it by paying a specified admission fee within the stipulated period. I want to officially register you for the program to book your place.
- The undergraduate course leading to the B.Tech degree in India is commonly determined by the marks achieved in the 12th standard examination or by engineering entrance examinations such as the JEE Main. Only students who achieve specified cutoff marks or ranks require consideration.
