The ILBS is an accredited medical institute of repute specifically dedicated to research and management of liver diseases and Gastroenterology located at New Delhi. They provide several academic programs with regards to medical fields. The fee structure of the MD General Medicine program is affordable and they allow candidates who have passed MBBS with 55% marks and have a valid NEET-PG score. The DM Gastroenterology program enroll students who have an MD in Medicine or Pediatrics and qualify the entrance test of ILBS. The MCh HPB Surgery program offers admission to candidates who have a master’s degree in General Surgery and 3 years of work experience and have cleared the test conducted by the institute.

2. For DM/MCh courses, admission is offered through the advertisement in the leading newspapers and the applications are invited usually during May-June as per the norms of Medical Council of India.
3. In regards to the admission for certain nursing and paramedical diploma courses, the applications are advertised around July-August.
4. Application forms are to be submitted in person and this comes with a lot of documents, and an application fee.
5. There are some courses for which entrance tests are conducted in the months of July-August. Merit in the qualifying examination and the entrance exam is the criteria for selection.
6. When you have finalized the candidates for interviews, call letters are issued to them. Admission is by score on examinations, interview session and the previous academic performance.
7. Those candidates who get selected must have to undergo admission formalities in given time duration with fees and other documents.
Documents Required for Admission in ILBS New Delhi for Different Courses:
1. Candidate must have passed 12th grade in the science stream and must have scored more than 50% of marks.
2. You may use online or download the application form available in May – June. To participate can be sent online or by postal means before the last date.
3. Sit for entrance test – Written test is conducted in July. These questions are from physics, chemistry as well as biology. Qualifying marks is 50%.
4. Take counseling – Depending on the scores in the written test and the scores obtained by the candidate in the 12th standard, counseling takes place. Documents of selected candidates undergo authenticity check.
5. Medical examination – All the applicants who successfully passed the interview are subjected to a medical fitness test at the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences.
6. Acceptance and fees – The final step is to admit the candidates who are offered the job through payment of the fee. Then orientation and classes start, all fresh again.
1. PG Departments: Gastroenterology, Hepatology, Clinical Immunology, Digestive tracts & abdominal organs medicine, gastrointestinal surgery, anesthesia for liver transplantation.
2. Eligibility: MBBS degree from a recognized university – recognized by MCI, One year Rotatory Internship. Scholastic achievement test – NEET PG, AIIMS PG, PGI Chandigarh.
3. Courses: MD in many specialisations such as Gastroenterology, Hepatology. MCh in Surgical Gastroenterology. Profession: DM in Clinical Immunology and Liver Transplant Anaesthesia.
4. Exam Dates 2024: Expected for NEET PG in January-2024 & for INI CET PG in May-June-2024. Some of them are yet to be announced on specific dates.
5. Admission Process: Admission through merit in the entrance test as well as counseling session. Bearing in mind some of the government regulations, reservations were conducted.
