The Jain University is a private university in Bangalore, South India which is also known as a deemed university. Jain University was set up in the year 1990, it is approved by the University Grants Commission, recognized by the state government of India and accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council with Grade A. It is a NIRF India Rankings 2023-ranked institution in the 126-150 percentile for engineering. From its 8 different constituent colleges and centres the university provides various undergraduate, postgraduate as well as research programs in various fields such as sciences, commerce, arts, engineering and management.
The university provides more than ninety courses in various fields which include engineering, sciences, commerce, humanities and social sciences, design, law and other fields. These courses have an admission criterion whereby students are admitted based on their performance in exams such as JEE, CET and CLAT or NATA or any other test conducted by the University. As for the entrance tests, it is usually administered in February and students desiring to be offered a course of study in Jain University can apply and take these tests to gain admission into the preferred course of study for the 2024 academic year.

Jain University Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. For UG programs, 10+2 passed with minimum 50% marks in respective stream if additional criteria. Some programs require students to have entrance test score.
2. For PG programs, applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in the relevant field with not less than 50% percent marks. Some programs may require the student to undergo certain entrance examinations.
3. For PhDs, a master’s degree in a related discipline along with the qualify exam and an interview. Research proposal needed.
4. For diploma and certification, 10+2 qualification is mostly needed in each course. Duration is from 6 months to 1 year.
5. For lateral entry in UG/PG, diploma holders can join right from 2nd semester of the degree course. Certain percentage criteria applies.
6. For international students, the 10+2 examination and the bachelor’s degree for which the student is applying for equated by the AIU along with the scores of the English proficiency test like the IELTS/ TOEFL.

Jain University is well-connected to the major IT industry players and the following companies visit the university every year for campus recruitments: Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Accenture, TCS among others.
