Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) University situated in New Delhi proffers a myriad of courses in humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, engineering, architecture, law, education, and media studies through the departments. Thus, for the undergraduate level, including science, commerce, social science, and humanities, most departments use class 12 board scores for admission purposes. For engineering only JEE Mains is considered as eligibility test while for mass communication the test is JMI Entrance Test (JMIET), for architecture is NATA, for fine arts is JMI Entrance Test and for law LSAT-India. It also offer admissions for PhD in all the departments through entrance examination and interview. To apply online, one has to first get registered on the website of the particular college with some basic information then the student can start filling the admission application form for the concerned class. The Jamia Millia Islamia University, which is located in New Delhi, has multiple departments in which students can enroll for their Doctor of Philosophy. Every department has its own requirements for the PhD and the minimum requirements includes the following. For instance, to apply for a PhD in the Faculty of Education or Engineering and Technology, applicants for admission must possess a Master’s degree in the relevant field with 55% and above. They should have passed the entrance exams like UGC NET, JRF SLET, GATE or M.Phil program as well. As per the norms to enroll in the PhD program of the AJK Mass Communication Research Centre, the candidates have to possess a Master’s degree in Mass Communication/Journalism with not less than 55% marks and pass AJKMCRET. For Faculty of Law, candidates must have done their LLB and should have scored 55% or above.
