Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH), Hyderabad is a public university established in the state of Telangana. It was established in 1965 from a Regional Engineering College and subsequently approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and later accredited with an ‘A’ Grade by NAAC. The NIRF ranking of JNTUH for the year showed that JNTUH was placed 26th in Indian engineering colleges.
The university runs several undergraduate and postgraduate courses in engineering, business administration, science and more fields. MBA, MCA, MSc and B.Tech/M.tech are some of the well known courses offered at JNTUH. It normally begins in May of the year and the students are required to pass some national or state level examinations for admission. Various entrance exams such as JEE main, TS EAMCET and gate are there for getting admission for different programs.
JNTUH is known for its strong placement and internship partners with the business world. Microsoft, Amazon, Dell, Accenture, TCS, Wipro and Cognizant are a few of the top companies that engage in campus-job recruitment in JNTUH colleges.

UG Programs:

- JNTUH holds the EAMCET exam for agriculture, medicine and engineering common entrance for the admission to the undergraduate engineering and other programs.
- Students have to submit the EAMCET exam form and attend exam. The rank/score they achieved decides whether they are allowed to participate in web-based sessions of counselling for their chosen college and branch.
- Admission to the college is also achieved through upheld intermediate marks for a combined merit/rank. The selections of colleges and campuses is considered at the interlocution session.
- The varius categories of reservation as per government rules are reserved for some seats.
Postgraduate Admissions:
- Admissions into postgraduate courses like M.Tech and MBA are granted via an exam conducted by JNTUH on behalf of the authority.
- In addition to admission scores, the marks obtained in competitive assessments like GATE,CAT etc. may also be taken into account. Candidates who qualified for counseling are needed to visit the clinic for a counseling session.

The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) organizes many of its scholarships and financial aid programs for those students that are at JNTU degree colleges and the JNTU affiliated institutes pursuing technical and professional programmes. These scholarships are scholarship schemes which are aimed at reducing financial burden on top of students who are not only academically bright but economically disadvantaged. The main scholarship schemes of JNTU are a combination of merit cum means awards, scholarships for SC/ST scholars, scholarships for differently abled students and fee reimbursement for eligible BC (backward class) students. Some others programs are scholarship schemes for tuition fees, hostel fee, study material, laptops and many other important things based on academic performance, financial status, or disadvantaged category. Amounts and criteria of scholarship can become rather varied due to the differences between programs. Some of the significant points are, maintenance of minimum attendance, minimum passing marks in the qualifying exams, annual parent/family income threshold for the candidates who are deserving and concession for girl students/the ones with disabilities.
