Kannada University is a state university institution situated in the university town of Hampi in the state of Karnataka, India. The KSLU was founded in the year 1991 following the KSLU Act passed by the Karnataka state legislature and is accredited by the UGC. Kannada University has been on the verge of getting accreditation and it has received B++ grade from the NAAC. The NIRF rankings of 2023 stand for Kannada University at 131 with the scores of other universities in India.
One of the specialized universities, the university undertakes the research and study in the field of Kannada language, literature, culture and folklores. The campus placement of the last year eligibles was up to 75% of the students who were placed through off campus.
