Kannur University is a public state university in Cannanore in the Indian state of Kerala. It was established in 1996 and approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and recommended for the ‘A’ grade accreditation by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Kannur University is one of the universities in India that was ranked 76 among universities in the 2023 NIRF ranking. There are many undergraduate and postgraduate programs for research in faculties such as arts, science, medicine, engineering, ayurveda, dental sciences, education and many other faculties.
UG programs offered in the university are over 32 while PG programs are 71 and there are 27 MPhil in addition to 19 PhD programs. Major courses offered in the college include BA, BSc, BCom, MA, MSc, BEd, LLB, BCA, MCA, BTech, MBBS, BDS, MD, MS, MDS etc. The annual examination schedule for the college starts in march and most of the admissions are entrance based except for MBBS, BDS and Architecture. It is envisaged that May 2023 will be the starting date for the application process for admissions in 2024. Interested candidates can either submit their applications online or on a physically attached form along with payment of the application fee before the stated deadline.
