The various universities and colleges under the KVAFSU Bidar offer the following undergraduate and postgraduate courses. BVSc & AH program is available in colleges of veterinary sciences and the minimum required percentage is 50 % in Physics, Chemistry, Biology in 12th standard. NEET, CET or ICAR entrance examination is available for students to apply for the college. There is BTech Food Technology that is undertaken in the College of Fisheries and to be eligible one needs to have passed Physics, Chemistry Mathematics in 12th with an aggregate of 50% or more. The college offers admission either through CET or COMEDK. Constituent agricultural and horticultural colleges offer the BSc Agriculture, BSc Horticulture, BSc Forestry, and the BFSc programs and to do so, one must have passed 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Mathematics. Karnataka Common Entrance Test, Indian Council of Agricultural Research All India Entrance Examination for Admission are example of entrance exams.
The various streams which KVAFSU Bidar provides through its constituent colleges are Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, Dairy Science, Agricultural, Horticulture, Sericulture, Fisheries Science, Food Technology, Forestry and other allied departments. The entrance examination for admission to the undergraduate courses starting for the year 2024 consist of NEET (BVSc), KCET 2024 to be conducted from May 22nd to 24th, 2023, ICAR AIEEA UG 2024 which is conducted in the first or second week of June every year, COMEDK UGET 2024 will be held on June 10th 2023. The application submission is done 60 to 90 days before the exam dates depending on the requirements of the application. The admission process will only involve the student to qualify in the entrance exam, the counselling process and then the document verification depending on the rules.
The registration process for different courses of study and levels of learning for the Karnataka Veterinary Animal and Fisheries Sciences University Bidar is done both online and offline.

- The policy of this university does not require the candidate to have prior work experience for him/her to be considered for MBA admission. The young talents can also apply for the job as the nature of the post does not necessarily require the candidates to have prior work experience and employers welcome fresh graduates.
