Kazi Nazrul University KNU is one of the state universities situated in Asansol, West Bengal, India. Kalyani Nagar University was established in 2012 and it is also UGC recognized and recognised by the Government of West Bengal. Under the accreditation category, our university’s NAAC grade is ‘B+’ which we got in 2016. The NIRF rankings 2023 have just been released, and in this list, KNU is in the 151st position among all universities in India.
It provides undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral studies in various areas of study under nine faculties, which include Faculty of Arts, Fine Arts & Performing Arts, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Commerce & Management Studies, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences and Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies. Some of the well-known courses that are offered include the b-tech, m-tech, bsc, msc, ba, ma, mcom, llb, bed among others. Admission is undertaken in May every year. Applicants can submit the application either online or as per the offline procedure of the organization before the date expires. The entrance tests will be taken in July of the year 2023 and the results will be displayed in August. It is important to note that the new academic session starts in the month of September.

Kazi Nazrul University Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
- In the case of undergraduate programs, candidates must be 10+2 pass or equivalent or possess any other qualifying examination with the minimum percentage of marks as per the program. There may be some requirements that vary from program to program.
- For postgraduate programs, the candidate will be expected to have a relevant Bachelor’s degree with the minimum passing marks. There may also be experience needed in some programs that may be necessary for an individual to undertake them.
- The basic eligibility criteria for admission to a Ph.D. programme is a Master’s degree in the respective subject with the prescribed minimum percentage of marks. Some of the programs may also specify qualification in exams namely NET/SET etc.
- Other factors could be in terms of eligibility based on age, nationality etc, which might be attached depending on the program offered.
