Kaziranga University is private university established at Jorhat in the state of Assam. It was established in the year 2012, and it is accredited by University Grant Commission and also approved by All India Council for Technical Education. Kaziranga University has been accredited ‘A’ Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) recently in the year 2022. According to the NIRF Ranking in 2023, it falls in the category of 151-200 in Universities in India.
The university has a provision of many programs in different fields of study such as engineering, computer applications, commerce and business administration and social sciences among others. Kaziranga University Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. Candidate should have cleared the 10+2 or its equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks (60% for B. Tech.).
2. Possessing the eligibility in the relevant entrance exam for admission to any course like JEE Main for B Tech, GUMET for BBA/MBA or any equivalent examination.
3. UG programs: 17 years of age as on 1st August of the admission year, for PG courses – 19 years as on 1st August of the admission year.
4. There is no regulation of age-limit for admission to PhD programme, but 55 percent marks in Master’s level is mandatory.
5. 45% in graduation for taking admission in MBA/PG program, 60% required for MCA course.
6. It’s time relaxation as a percentage for the reserved category students as per the government rules.

Kaziranga University has a separate section for the Corporate Relations and Placement Cell in order to help students get placements in diverse fields. Some of the recruiters are IBM, Infosys, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Cognizant, and many public sector undertakings industry and the highest salary package offered is INR 18 LPA.
