KUFOS at Kochi has various streams in departments like Fisheries Science, Aquaculture, Fisheries and Aquatic Animal Health Management, Fishery Engineering, Fishery Environment, Fish Processing Technology, Fisheries Resource Management and Extension. These requirements differ with courses – for B.F.Sc, candidates must sit for either the Higher Secondary Examination from the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala or any other examination that is considered equivalent to it and they must get 50% of the marks in Biology. Other recognized entrance tests include the KEAM & NEET.
The streams that are offered at KUFOS across departments are Fisheries and Ocean Studies, Aquaculture and Fish Processing Technology, Fisheries Resource Management. It is important to note that the admission process to the courses in the 2024 academic year can be through online application or through the initial application through the university as posted. Candidates are selected according to the keam, neet.
Process for filling up of Admission Form online Read the instructions carefully before filling up the form:
1. Photo ID proof: Aadhar card, Voter card, Driving License, for identification of the candidate for age proof.
2. Caste and income certificates to avail the benefits of reservation CTC and pay slip for proof of salary Income certificate and proof of qualification for the qualifying examination, class 10 certificate and mark sheet.
3. The original Class 12 certificate and mark sheet that indicate the subjects the candidate had taken and the marks he or she has scored.
4. Standardized passport size photograph, degree certificate and consolidated mark sheet if after graduation.
5. The application form and supporting documents which are required to be enclosed with the application form while applying for the reservation quota.
6. Transfer certificate, conduct certificate, migration certificate which obtained from the institution or university where the candidate was last studied.
1. The candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree with minimum 50 % marks in the relevant subject from a recognized university.
2. Submit the online or offline form on or before the last date which will be mentioned in the notification along with the required documents and application fee.
3. Take the entrance exam if any depending on the course that one wants to undertake.
4. To check your merit list, you may visit the official website of the concerned institution or check it on the board notice as well.
5. As per the counseling session time table turned up along with submission of requisite documents and admission fee.
6. Confirm the admission status and formalities of your enrollment to the respective institution within the given time limit.
7. Report to the allotted department, submit documents and meet the faculty before proceeding with the orientation program in order to start classes.

1. One can fill up the form online or offline for appearing in KUFOS Common Entrance Test (KCET) conducted for admissions to B.Tech course in the college situated under KUFOS.
2. Take the KCET entrance exam if qualified according to the 10+2 grade and subjects completed. There are 180 questions and all are multiple choice questions.
3. Wait for the announcement of result and download the scorecard from the University, to find out whether the candidate has qualified for counseling or not.
4. As per the rank secured, the candidate has to register and join the counseling process to get the preferences for college/Branch when called for allotment.
5. After that, complete all the formalities of admission by making fees payment and submission of all documents within prescribed timeframe.
6. Make sure to secure the admission in the respective KUFOS Kochi college as per the rules and regulation of the counseling and admission process in B.Tech program.

2. Check when the advertisement is released – Usually by May/June, but to be sure check your university’s website.
3. Apply online - Complete the online application form before deadline by scanning and attached documents. Pay fees.
4. If short listed, sit for the written entrance examination set for the course or program you’re applying for.
5. Interview – If the written test is clear, then one should attend the interview round. Questions are aimed at checking the candidate’s knowledge of the domain and research interests.
6. Admission: Students should ensure that the results are declared. If selected then enroll for admission and fill rest of the formalities required there.
