Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies, Kochi is a newly established, State University situating in the coastal area of Kerela, was established in 2010. KUFOS is a self-financing collegiate institution situated in Kochi, Kerala which is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Indian Council for Agricultural Research (ICAR). It was accredit to A Grade by NAAC in the year 2020. The NIRF Rankings 2023 have ranked KUFOS as the 77 of agricultural universities in India.
KUFOS provides undergraduate, postgraduate and other courses under faculties of Fisheries, Ocean Science & Technology, Climate Change & Environmental Science, Fisheries Engineering. The 2024 academic year intakes to various bachelors and masters programs will be through national and state level entrance exam.

Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. Candidate should have passed 10+2 examination in the science stream and must have secured at least 50% marks in BSc programs like Fisheries Science, Industrial Fish and Fishery Products.
2. The candidates should have passed 10+2 examination in any stream with a minimum of 50 % marks for admission to the B.Tech Marine Engineering program.
3. For admission to the Bachelor of Fisheries Science and Bachelor of Science Nautical Science courses, 10+2 pass in any stream along with 45% marks is the minimum eligibility.
4. To get into the MFSc and MSc programs such as Aquaculture, Fish Processing Technology, a graduation in fisheries or related field with 50% marks essential.
5. All the MTech programs including Ocean and Coastal Safety Engineering, Foods Safety and Quality Management require a BTech/BE degree.
6. Some postgraduate programs may demand any of the following qualifying examinations GATE, MAT or CAT. Experience may also be sufficient whether within a formal academic program or engaging in paid work.
