Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, often referred to as simply MSU Baroda or the University of Baroda, is a public university in the city of Vadodara, in the Indian state of Gujarat. It is a government university and is UGC recognised that belongs to the category of multi-disciplinary university and is accredited by NAAC with Grade A rating. As per NIRF 2023 ranking, it was ranked at 65 among top universities in India. Located on a vast area of land divided into different faculties, centres and departments, MSU Baroda currently imparts education at the undergraduate and post graduate level in faculties of arts, science, technology, pharmacy, management, law, engineering, social work and fine arts among others.
The MSU Baroda today encompasses more than 200 academic disciplines at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate levels. The popular courses offered at this level are the degrees in arts, sciences, commerce, technology- business and technology, pharmacy, master in business administration- MBA, master in computer applications- MCA among others and the integrated courses like 5 years integrated course in B.A.LL.B. The university holds semester exams in December and May in any given calendar year. University placements drives and pooled campus drives help the students secure placements by over 85% of the total number of students who take part in the programs. The maximum salary offered in placement drive during 2022 was Rs. 32, 00,000/- per annum and the average salary offered was Rs. 5, 60,000/-per annum.
