MNLU Mumbai stands for Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai and it is an autonomous university of law founded in Mumbai in Maharashtra in the year 2014. It is recognized by the University Grant Commission and Bar Council of India as approved. MNLU Mumbai is accredited by the NAAC and has received Grade A with CGPA of 3.31 out of 4. The university has various under graduate and post graduate courses such as five years integrated Under Graduate in Legal studies programs including BALLB, BBALLB and LLB and One year LLM course. Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. For 5-year BA LLB program, candidates should have finished their 12th standard or equivalent examination from a recognized board with minimum 45% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD/ KC) only.
2. To pursue 3-year LLB programme, one must have passed Graduation in any discipline with minimum 45% marks for General Category students and 40% marks for SC/ST/OBC/PWD Category students.
3. For LLM courses, candidates are required to have an LLB/BL degree and should have secured more than 50% (For SC/ST/OBC candidates 45%) mark in the aggregate.
4. To pursue PhD programs, the candidates should possess a Master of Laws degree with minimum marks of fifty five percent in aggregate and clear NET/ SLET tests.
5. Diploma and certificate programmes applicants should be graduates from any field and must possess good English communication skills.
6. Candidates in the reserved categories are provided reservation according to the Maharashtra state government rules in all the programs.
