Mahatma Gandhi Chitrakoot Gramoday Vishwavidyalaya is a state university located at district Chitrakoot of Madhya Pradesh in India. It has reached to a status of a premier institution of higher education since its inception in 1991. It is a UGC recognized University which is accredited with B++ Grade by the NAAC. According to the NIRF Rankings 2023, which was recently released, MGCGV was ranked between 101 150 among all the universities in India.
This university provides several degrees at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in diverse faculties ranging from arts, commerce, science, education, law and engineering among others. The courses that are quite well-liked are the three B’s – the Arts, Commerce and Science, then the Bachelors in Education, Law, and Engineering, the Masters in Business Administration, and Masters in Computer Applications. These examinations are often administered in the period from March to June and from November to January. The admission process begins in the month of May for undergraduate programmes and June for postgraduate programmes for the next session. Aspiring employees must submit their application either online or on paper and may also be required to sit for examinations and/ or interviews.

The scale of remuneration goes up to Rs 10 lakhs per annum for the highest salary paid. 1. For the under graduate programs like BA, BSc, BCom etc the candidate must be a 10+2 pass or its equivalent from any recognized board.
2. As far as post graduate courses such as MA, MSc, MCom etc. are concerned, the candidates should have passed the bachelor’s degree examination from any university recognized by the university with the minimum percentage as per rules and regulations.
3. For the research programs like MPhil and PhD, one must possess a postgraduate degree in the related subject with at least 55% marks and has to qualify the entrance test and the interview.
4. In professional courses such as BEd, LLB, BMC and so on, students from any discipline can apply for admission but there are some programs that have certain conditions which may be required for admission and these must be verified.
5. To cater to the reserved category students the colleges offer relaxations in the eligibility criteria as per its norms, however, the certificates need to be produced during admission.
