Majuli University of Culture (MUC) is one of the oldest Universities situated at Majuli, Assam committed to fostering cultural values of Assam. MUC has obtained the accreditation from the University Grants Commission UGC and it has got the recognition from the government of Assam. It has received the accreditation from NAAC with Grade A and ranked 75 in NIRF Ranking 2023 in Universities.
Every discipline of study, ranging from Performing Arts, Fine Arts, Linguistics, Indic Knowledge Tradition, Tourism & Hospitality, Rural Crafts and Entrepreneurship among others are available as undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral degree programs in MUC. The admission process for the academic year 2024 will start in May 2023. The semester examination are usually held in the month of November-December and April-May every year.
MUC has a good record of placing students in reputed organizations and companies that seek students from different specializations. Some of the best recruiters are, IOCL, Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Byju’s, extramarks, ICICI Bank, HDFC Life and many more. The highest salary package offered was 16 LPA and the average placement salary of the students was between 4- 7 LPA. Every year 85% of the students get placed in different companies through campus placement drives. 1. Should have passed 10+2 education or its equivalent from a recognized board or university with minimum 50% marks.
2. The interested students of any stream such as Science, Commerce, Arts, and Humanities can apply for the programs depending on the laid down eligibility criteria for each program.
3. For the candidates belonging to the reserved categories, there is a relaxation of five per cent in minimum marks as per government rules.
4. For those who have cleared their 10+2 examination more than 2 years back, gap certificate stating the reason for not pursuing higher studies during that period has to be produced.
5. Those students who are in the final year of their 10+2 examinations can also apply in the provisional basis; however, they must meet the eligibility criteria after the results are out.
6. Admission will be given as per the norms that are laid down for each program to be topper, entrance test, or interview whichever is applicable.
