Manipur Technical University (MTU) the campus located at Imphal provides various programs in engineering, pharmacy, architecture and management at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Current faculties of MTU that are most preferred by students are Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology. The requirement is also different with departments – for the BTech programs, the candidates must pass Class 12 in science stream with physics, chemistry and maths and also clear exams like, MTUMAT, JEE Main or WBJEE.

Online Application Process:
Scroll through the home page of the official website www.mtu.ac.in then go to the admission tab. Choose the particular course of study and the student must complete the application form to enroll for the course. Scan and upload documents regarding educational qualification, photograph and signature as per the requisite size. The fee can be paid online through credit/debit cards, net banking.
Offline Application Process:
Go to the university administrative block and you can get the application form and an information brochure. Complete the form and enclose the photocopy of original documents along with the verification seal. Enclose the application form duly filled in along with the processing fees which can be paid by Demand Draft or Cash etc at the counters mentioned below against the respective centre by the last date.
Documents Required for Admission in MTU Imphal for Different Courses:
Manipur Technical University (MTU) in Imphal gives number of Under Graduate programs in the departments like Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Architecture and so on. Some of the main UG courses are given below: BTech in Computer Science, Electronics, Civil Engineering, etc which necessary Pre-University qualification as 12th Science stream or equivalent examination like Manipur Board, CBSE or ICSE. Various BBA and BCom programs admit students on a 12th pass basis regardless of the stream, whether Arts, Science or Commerce.
MTU is a university that provides undergraduate degree programs and these are categorized according to disciplines such as: Business and Economics, Engineering, Health and Natural Sciences, IT and Computing, Music and Arts. The admission process is at the beginning of the year in January. Any 10+2 passed or appearing candidates who are interested have to apply before May 2024 of the concerned year.
The Manipur Technical University Imphal offers number of Postgraduate programs in various disciplines of Engineering, Pharmacy, Architecture and Management studies. It is also important to note that candidates eligible criteria differs from one department to another, the following are the eligibility criteria for MTech programs:- Candidates should have completed their BTech/ BE degree from any of the AICTE/UGC recognized University/Institute with minimum 55% marks in aggregate, GATE qualified candidates will be preferred. MPharm is available only for candidates who have completed BPharm degree with not less than 55% marks and have valid GPAT score.
Postgraduate courses in different areas of specialization are available at the University in Structural Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Construction Management, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, etc. The entrance exam for the Manipur Technical University takes place generally in the months of May-July every year and the admission process usually starts from August.
1. This criteria should match requirement of 10+2 pass with the relevant percentage of marks and JEE Main rank/score.
2. You have to apply either online or offline either you have the documents which are required before the last date.
3. People who get shortlisted should attend counseling sessions as per the set timetable.
4. Choose your branch and make the payment for Admission fees as well.
5. Go to the office and deposit money and other necessary documents to obtain the provisional allotment letter.
6. After that, they have to report to the respective department, complete their registration process, and get to their classes.
