Martin Luther Christian University Shillong is a Private University which was situated in Meghalaya State of India. It was established in the year of 2005 and is approved by the UGC and has received the grade ‘A’ accreditation from NAAC. NIRF ranking of the university in 2023 was set in the band of 101-150 among Indian universities.
This university provides the undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs in management, commerce, arts, computer applications and sciences, tourism and hospitality, social sciences, and research. Some well-known courses are BBA, MBA, B. Com, M. Com, BA, MA, BCA, MCA, BSW, MSW, BTTM, MTTM. Admissions to UG programmes are merit based on Class 12th marks and the college’s entrance exam. For PG programs, 3 years of graduation degree is mandatory and the students have to write CEET/CMAT/CAT of state/national level. The application are expected to be open starting May 2023 for admissions in 2024.
The university has a separate placement cell that ensures campus recruitment, summer internships, and final placements through campus interviews, industrial tours, and career development programs. The companies including ICICI, HDFC, Bosch, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Deloitte are very reputed and they come for recruitment in the campus. The placement record of 2023 revealed that over 150 students got placement with the highest salary package offered being 12 LPA.

Martin Luther Christian University Shillong does fairly well in placements every year. Over 60 percent of students who appeared for placement in the current placement session 2022-23 got placed in various companies. Talent acquisition partners that have been active in the country include Wipro, Infosys, TCS, Deloitte, PwC, Jaro Education, Extramarks Education, BYJU’s, Globarena Technologies, ZS Associates and many others. The maximum offered salaries were 18 LPA by a company of financial services and the medium salaries were 3.5-4 LPA. The university has a proper placement cell and students get good placements irrespective of the sector be it IT, Banking, Education or Analytics.
