The MET Institute of Management is a private business school located in Mumbai that offers the Post Graduate Diploma in Management across different specialization fields such as Marketing, Finance, Operations, Human Resources, and Information Technology. For admission to the PGDM program candidates should have a bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks. It is preferred that applicants have prior work experience but this is not a requirement for the program. It accepts a number of entrance tests such as CAT / XAT / CMAT / MAT / ATMA or MET for taking admission to the PGDM. This applies during the admission process where the institute considers factors like entrance test, academic records, working experience, and performance during interviews.
The PGDM program at MET offers concentration areas of Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Operation, Retail, Information Management and International Business. Some of the most preferred streams according to the students are Marketing, Finance and Operations. For admissions to the batch of 2024, the entrance tests are CAT on November 26, 2023, XAT on January 8, 2024, and CMAT in the last week of February 2024. ATMA and MAT tests are conducted multiple times in a year in 2023. As mentioned earlier, the MET exam is an assessment that is given by the institute. The admission process involves applying to MET as well as other entrances, writing entrance tests, personal interview rounds and group discussions conducted by MET. The selection process is that the candidate must have good academic results, entrance examination results, working experience, and personal interview. The new batch of PGDM admission is declared in the second week of May 2024 at the institute.

- The candidates are mainly assessed depending on parameters like CAT/XAT and other entrance tests, academic performance, prior work experience etc.

- In the final selection, much emphasis is placed on their performance in the MET conducted personal interview. The institute tries to seek leadership qualities, problem solving ability, personality, awareness, communication ability etc.
- Applicants who have had some practical experience after their completion of their education are considered in the process.
- The consistency in academics over the years as well as from the 10th standard are also considered while evaluating the applicants.
- Good performance in standard tests like CAT/XAT/GMAT/ MAT/CMAT/ATMA etc increases the probability of selection. The score of all these tests is an important criteria.
