It is a private university situated in Rampur, Uttar Pradesh and known as Mohammad Ali Jauhar University (MAJU). It was founded in the year 2006 for which it is accredited by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Accreditation of MAJU has been given Grade A by NAAC and the institution has been awarded CGPA 3.26. According to the NIRF Rankings 2023 which was recently released, MAJU falls in the band of 101-150 Indian universities.
Today, MAJU has expanded its course offerings across faculties including engineering, management sciences, sciences, humanities, education, law and agriculture. Some of the well-known standards are known by their dummy’s trademarks such as BTech, MBA, BSc, BA, and integrated programs such as BBALLB. Semester examinations are held by the university in December and May of the calendar year. As for the next batch, the admission is expected to begin sometime in March 2024. MAJU accepts scores of national level tests such as JEE Main, CAT, CLAT for admission into the college.

Mohammad Ali Jauhar University Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. For B. Tech, aspirant must have passed 10+2 examinations and should appear qualified in JEE Main Examination and they must have studied PCM in 10+2 with minimum 60% marks.
2. For MTech programmes, students should possess a BTech/BE degree in a related branch with first class from a recognised university. It has been made mandatory to clear GATE examination for M.Tech admission.
3. Candidate must have completed 10+2 in Science stream and must have obtained at least 50% marks in PCB for MBBS & BDS programs.
4. For BBA & MBA programs, there is no restriction in graduation discipline for the admission of candidates. For MBA, work experience will be preferred for the candidates and the minimum marks criteria will not be applicable for the SC and ST candidates.
5. For the BA, BSc & MA degree in arts, science & humanities streams those candidates who have passed 10+2 examination or any other equivalent examination can apply for the UG courses.
6. Regarding all the programs, the government policies pertaining to the concessions and the relaxations in the eligibility criteria for the respective categories such as SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD.
