Mohanlal Sukhadia University commonly known as MLSU is an autonomous State university situated in Udaipur, Rajasthan India. It was founded in 1964 and was recently accredited under National Assessment and Accreditation Council with a B++. As per NIRF Rankings 2023, MLSU stands at 101st position in the list of India’s top university. The university provide all degree level programmes at under graduate, post graduate and doctoral level under faculties of arts, science commerce, management studies, engineering, pharmacy and education.
This university has lots of courses in existence across the faculties and departments. The first part of the name shows the name of the course like BCom, BA, BSc, BBA, BCA, BE/BTech, MCom, MA, MSc, MBA and so on. The admission process begins May of the year for both the UG and PG courses. The entrance tests carried out are RPCAAT for applied technology of B-Tech, PRE MCA for Master of Computer Applications, REAP for MBA and specific tests for the Master of Technology courses. The applications normally close in the month of June is the time when the last date to apply is normally given. It is followed by examinations that takes place between the months of July and August and results are released by September. In order to ensure that deserving candidates get the due benefit, they get into counseling sessions as per their performance and take a seat in different affiliated colleges.
MLSU has maintained good standards wherever its students are placed in the market. Some of the well-known companies that visit the college campus for recruitment are Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Cognizant, Ceasefire, Schindler India, Havells India Ltd, Berger Paints, and Asian Paints etc… Placement percentages in the ongoing academic sessions 2021 and 2022 have been as high as 80% for engineering and management disciplines while average salary offers range from 3 to 6 The maximum salary offered by recruiters during the placement process for the year 2022 was 43 LPA. The university has an active training and placement cell that helps students through the entire campus employment process.

The university’s placement cell ensures that students get placed in various companies and organizations upon completing their chosen programs. Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Cognizant and Accenture etc are big brand companies that offer placement to the students every year. The over all placement record has been appreciating with more than 80% of students getting placed from branches like computer science and electronics. As per the table above, the maximum salary offered in the placement drive of 2022 was 18 lakhs per annum offered by a well-known IT services company. The pay scale was varied and measured usually between Rs 4-6 lakhs per annum. Information technology is the largest recruiting sector followed by Electronics & Communication Engineering. Placement cell also arranges training sessions to improve the aptitude of students and help them prepare for placements.
