Nalanda University has quite flexible academic disciplines and provides education in science, technology, arts, languages, and philosophies. It has departments in historical studies, ecology and environment studies, Buddhist studies, comparative religion, international relations. The course requirement also differs from department to department – for masters programs in historical studies, international relations and in ecology, the candidate should hold a bachelors degree in the related disciplines with not less than 55% marks or equivalent grade. The university accepts UGC NET, GATE, GRE as qualifying examinations for this purpose. For Ph.D. admissions, candidates must have a master’s degree in relevant subjects and a minimum 60% marks and clear the UGC NET/GATE/GRE exam.
1. Students can use university website to get the online application and the prospectus of the university.
2. Sign up with unique username and password and complete the application with basic information.
3. Submit important documents such as transcripts, scores on requisite tests, letters of recommendation
4. Both the completed application form and the small application fee are to be submitted online.
5. Wait for university notification and screening of applicants and the list to be made.
6. Once selected, the applicant needs to provide the necessary documents to confirm their admission to the slot.
Documents Required for Admission in NU Nalanda for Different Courses:
1. For the respective course of choice, one has to fill an application on the university website or get a hard copy of the application form from the university administration during the time when the application is being accepted.
2. Students should ensure that they meet the necessary age requirements, academic achievements, or entrance test scores before applying for any course of their choice.
3. Please enclose mark sheets, certificates, I’d proof etc. as per requirements & submit the application form and fee.
4. In case if short listed, attend counselling session according to the date and time to opt for course and college of their choice, subject to the merit and seat availability.
5. Final acceptance procedures after getting seat by a candidate is by paying the fees of the course and submitting any remaining documents when due.
1. Visit the official website of Nalanda University and click on the admission section to find the admission notice and the application form for M.Sc programs.
2. Here, select the program of your choice in M.Sc and confirm to meet the requirements in terms of the qualifying degree.
3. Here again, complete the online application in the same manner as before along with providing all necessary information and documents as mentioned.
4. To make the application fees payments the form is equipped with a payment gateway.
5. After filling up the application form, click on ‘submit’ button and download a copy of the page that confirms your action for any future use.
6. Expect shortlist to be posted on website and if you are to be considered proceed with the next admission process as directed.
1. Eligibility – Ensure you have met the requirements set by the NU for the program such as possessing a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks.
2. Online submission of the MBA application form – One can fill the online MBA application form on the portal of the university with all the relevant details as soon as possible before the last date.
3. Application fee – The last step is to deposit the application fee which is online to ensure the completion of the submission process.
4. Appear for entrance test – That is securing a good grade in the NUMAT, which is the entrance exam set by the university for its management program. Dates announced on website.
5. Group discussion and interview – Candidates who have secured more than or equal to the cutoff marks in the test are selected for GD and PI at NU campus.
6. After GD and interviews, NU uploads the final merit list of selected candidates on its official website, on the scheduled date. Take admission.
7. Final documents submission – Document verification and payment of the balance amount of fee if any before the specified duration.
1. Eligibility – To apply for the concerned post, a candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree with minimum 45% marks in the concerned discipline from a recognized university.
2. Online apply - Complete online application form and attach scan copy of photograph, signature, required documents for qualifying examination documents for eligibility certificate if any caste certificate.
3. Take the university exam on the date provided and ensure that one scores a minimum passing score.
4. Check merit list – With the help of mark sheets, it publishes the provisional merit list of the candidates who have appeared in the entrance exam and other criteria’s like eligibility, category.
5. Original document sighting – In this, all short listed candidates are required to physically present themselves to the university so that they can produce all original documents on record as per the timetable set for the process.
6. Admission confirmation – Final list of students after document verification. The candidates can then proceed with the admission procedures and admission fees to validate their admission.
