NALSAR University of Law Hyderabad is recognized as one of the premier institutions in India to provide legal education at UG and PG levels. The principal program for undergraduates is the B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) 5 year integrated course and the candidate should have passed 12th std. from any recognized board with minimum 45% marks in aggregate. Other entrance tests allowed are CLAT, LSAT India and NALSAR Entrance Test. At the postgraduate level of education, there is a provision of specialized 2-year LLM course at NALSAR.. programs in areas such as Corporate and Commercial Law, IP and Trade Law, Public Policy and Environmental Law and among others.
The major law courses that are taught by NALSAR for the 2024 admission year across the undergraduate and postgraduate levels are B.A. LL.B.(Hons.), LL.M. in Corporate and Commercial Law, LL.M. in IP and Trade Law, LL.M. in Public Policy and Environmental Law and many more.
The online admission application is available in the National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR) University of Law in Hyderabad, Telangana.
For online application, the interested candidates have to log on to the university website nalsar.ac.in and ‘Admissions’. In order to apply for job vacancies they have to sign up, then complete the application form and attach scanned copies of documents in accordance with the admission requirements. For the payment of the application fees, one can either use credit/debit card or net banking.

NALSAR University of Law Hyderabad has several undergraduate law programs and they are offered in different departments. The B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) program under the Legal Education Department that admits students through CLAT, LSAT-India and the candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with minimum 50% marks. The BBA LL.B. (Hons.) offered under the Legal and Business Education Department also have provisions for CLAT and LSAT-India; the requirement being a pass in the 10+2 level with at least 50% marks. Similarly, the International & Comparative Law and Economics department have a BA (Hons.) in Legal Studies where CLAT exam score or 10+2 qualification with minimum aggregate score of 50 percent is acceptable.
The University provides under graduate courses in all the sub specialties of law such as B.A. LL.B. (Hons.), BBA LL.B. (Hons.), BA (Hons.) in Legal Studies.
PhD programs offered at NALSAR University of Law Hyderabad are available in Business Law, Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Cyber Law, Environmental Law, Intellectual Property Rights Law International Trade Law, Tax Law. The minimum eligibility criteria for a PhD across departments are: A postgraduate in Law with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent. Some departments also accept Master’s degrees in related interdisciplinary areas. Accepted aptitude test for admission into the PhD programmes of the university are UGC NET, JRF, PhD-SET, SLET, GATE and other similar tests recognized by the University.
The PhD courses taught in different streams of NALSAR are PhD in Business Law, Constitutional Law, Criminal Law and Administration of Criminal Justice, Environment Law, Human Rights Laws, Intellectual Property Rights Law, International Trade and Economics Laws, Legal Methodology and Research Methodology, Tax Law and Policy and other interdisciplinary categories that include Cyber Law, Media and Gender Justice.
