NIEPA is the National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration and is situated in New Delhi, India It is an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. NIEPA was established in the year 1962 to become the leading organization responsible for capacity development and research in planning and management of education. NIEPA is a NAAC Grade ‘A’ Accredited Institute. According to the NIRF Ranking 2023, NIEPA has ranked 25 among all the education institutions across India.
NIEPA provides different master’s, MPhil and PhD courses in various fields such as educational planning and administrative, economics of education, educational finance, etc. Some of the famous master’s degree are MA Education, MPhil Educational Planning and Administration. The admission process for this degree normally begins in March every year. Written tests are held in June, while the interview process takes place in July-August. The selected candidates are expected to accept the admission offers by September when the session begins. The academic session is spread over two semesters and examinations are conducted in December and May.
The placement cell of NIEPA is very efficient and leading organizations come to the campus for recruiting students. Some of the well-known recruiters are UNESCO, World Bank, different central and state education departments, NGOs, etc. Approximately 70% of the students get placed through campus placements with median salaries in the range of 5-7 LPA.
