National Institute of Technology Uttarakhand (NIT Uttarakhand) is one of the twenty-five National Institutes of Technology in the country which has been set up by the Government of India. NIT Uttarakhand is an autonomous technical university established in the year of 2010 in Srinagar which is situated in the District of Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhnad, India and this university is approved by the Government of India under NIT Act 2007. This institution has been approved by AICTE and has NAAC Grade A accredited status. As per the NIRF India Rankings 2023 that were recently announced for the year 2023, NIT Uttarakhand was ranked 101 in the list of engineering institutes in India.
This university currently provides programs of B.Tech and M.Tech in several engineering and technology fields such as computer science and engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, electronics and communication engineering, civil engineering. For admission in B.Tech program of the year 2024, the admission procedure will begin in the month of January, 2024. Admissions to the students will be offered based on the scores achieved in the JEE Main examination. Also, there is M.Tech, MBA and Ph.D courses offered by the institute in different disciplines. NIT Uttarakhand Placements 2024
NIT Uttarakhand also witnessed a slow and steady growth in placements. In the session 2022-23, the percentage of students placed through campus placement drives was as high as 85% with over 200 companies having visited the campus. Some of the prominent recruiters where placed were Microsoft, Amazon, Flipkart, Infosys, Wipro, TCS, L&T, LnT Infotech etc. The maximum salary offered for a student was 32.6 LPA by Microsoft. Aggregate annual emoluments offered by the companies were approximately in the range of 7.2 LPA for branches. The major sectors that were hiring students included software and core engineering, ITES/ BPO and analytics.
