National Institute of Technology Nagaland (NIT Nagaland) is one amongst of the Thirty one National Institutes of Technology funded by the Indian Government. NIT Nagaland was established in the year of 2010 under completely funded by the Government of India as one of the premier technical institutions. AICTE approved and UGC recognized university is fully entitled to possess a powerful faculty team and well equipped laboratories. NIT Nagaland is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with the grade of B++. In the recently released NIRF rankings 2023, it has secured a rank of 91 among all engineering colleges in the country.
NIT Nagaland has been imparting education in undergraduate and post graduate level with major disciplines in engineering, applied science and humanities such as Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Civil Engineering, Master of Computer Applications and Science, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Humanities disciplines. The BTech’s admission criterion involves JEE Main examination for admission and the students undergo counselling through JoSAA/CSAB.

NIT Nagaland Placements 2024
National Institute of Technology Nagaland, has recorded impressive placements for the outgoing batch of 2022. In this regard, 83 percent of the students who wished to get placements are placed in reputed companies. The companies that top the list of recruiters were Cognizant, Infosys, L&T Technology Services, Decathlon who were offering opportunities to students from computer science electronics, electrical, mechanical branch. This year the maximum salary offered was 27.5 LPA while the average salary offered was 8.2 LPA.
