The National Law Institute University or NLIU as it is commonly known is a prestigious national law university established in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. It provides Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs in different areas of laws. The minimum eligibility criteria to get admitted in the first year of the 5-year integrated BA LLB program is to have passed class 12 or equivalent examination securing not less than 45% marks in aggregate. To be admitted to LLM, the candidates must have acquired an LLB/BL degree with an average of at least 50%. Courses such as LLM in Corporate Law & Governance CLAT scores are considered here and LLM in IPR & IT Law LSAT scores are considered admission criteria. MBA and MBA in Financial Management and Business laws also offers admission to the master’s programs with CAT/MAT scores and having minimum 50% in graduation.
The University provide number of courses in different fields such as BA LLB, BBA LLB, LLM in Corporate & Governance, LLM in Constitutional & Administrative Law, LLM Business Law & Corporate Affairs, LLM Criminal Law & Security Studies, LLM Intellectual Property Rights & IT Law, Master in Public Policy, MBA in collaboration with IIM Indore.

This means that the eligibility for a loan also depends on the specific field of the organization. For BA LLB, candidates should have completed their class 12th examination with 45 % aggregate marks for open category and 40% for SC/ST categories. Only CBSE, ICSE or state boards exams are acceptable to qualify for the admission process. For BBA LLB, the candidate should have passed class 12th with 50% marks for open category and 45% for SC/ST category, without any specific stream being preferred. BCom LLB needs 50% aggregate marks in class 12th commerce stream with 45% norms for reserved sections. Candidates who have passed exams such as CBSE, ICSE or any state boards should have cleared the respective standards. For BSc LLB, candidates should have passed class 12th science stream minimum of 50% (45 % for SC/ST) board exams either CBSE or equivalent state Boards. The University has an undergraduate law program and these are the BA LLB, BBA LLB, BCom LLB and BSc LLB.
National Law Institute University Bhopal has the following LLM programs offered in various departments. The commercial and corporate law department also provides the option of an LLM in corporate laws and management. To be shortlisted for this position, the candidates have to fulfill certain prerequisites that include passing the LLB/BL degree, CLAT/AILET/LSAT/NLIU-PG entrance exams. The constitutional law department offers a postgraduate programme in Master of Laws in constitutional law and governance. Masters of Laws, qualification can be obtained by passing the CLAT, LSAT or NLIU-PG tests provided the candidate has an LLB degree. An LLM in criminal law and justice is also available where the applicant requires an LLB and/or to clear the exams like CLAT, AILET, LSAT or the university own PG law entrance test.
