National Law School of India University University is located in Bangalore and provides different courses leading to the under graduate and post graduate degrees in law. The 5-year B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) program admits candidates based on the percentile scores of CLAT. Some other bachelor degree programs include B.B.A, LL.B. accepts score from CLAT, LSAT-India, GMAT. The programs in masters provided here are M.A Global Studies and Law, diploma courses in various fields such as M.A in Law and other related areas. The minimum requirement for the admission in any undergraduate course is to have passed in 10+2 exams with at least 50% marks. For postgraduate courses, only a bachelor’s degree in law with at least 50% marks is needed. Other admission requirements include: GRE and TOEFL scores for M.A Global Studies in Law program.
Process for filling up of Admission Form online Read the instructions carefully before filling up the form:
1. Identity proof such as passport, voter id card, driving license, Aadhaar card or PAN card that must contain date of birth and other necessary identification details.
2. Certificate from Class 10 and 12 passing certificate from a recognized board with syllabuses of subjects studied and marks obtained to fulfill eligibility criteria.
3. Original and photocopy of mark lists of all the examinations passed leading to the award of the Bachelor’s degree and the pass certificate if the candidate is applying to LLM programs since eligibility demands a bachelor degree in law.
4. CLAT score card if applied based on the CLAT examination for which the scores are valid for admissions.
5. Credentials and migration testimonials from the institutes or universities attended earlier.
6. Certificate of good conduct from the previous school or college that you attended, certifying the conduct during the course of your program.
1. Take CLAT LLM which is a written test that covers areas such as legal aptitude, general knowledge, logical reasoning.
2. It may also be useful to verify that you satisfy some of the threshold requirements set by NLSIU such as LLB degree with the requisite number of marks.
3. Submit either online or offline together with the payment of application fees on the Universities website for the certain month that the University opens its applications for the year.
4. If shortlisted, there is a particular round where one is asked to write an article on a specific topic in order to check one’s research skills and inclinations.
5. The final merit list is calculated out of 100 comprising 40% weight –based on CLAT score, 40% weight based on the interview and 20% weight based on academic performance.
6. Lastly, if your name appears in the merit list, you should go through admission procedures such as fee payment before the cutoff date of admission.
