NSUT is among the technical and engineering institute situated in New Delhi, India. NSUT was established in the year 1983 as Delhi Institute of Technology and changed to NSUT in 2002. NSUT has been recognized as a NAAC accredited grade ‘A’ Institution. In the NIRF rankings that have been recently published, NSUT has been placed at the 37th spot among the engineering institutes of India. Undergraduate and postgraduate programs are available in Computer Engineering, Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation & Control, Manufacturing Processes & Automation Engineering and many more areas.

Admission to BTech programs from NSUT is entrance-based from JEE Mains, but only GATE qualified students are offered admission to MTech programs. In details, registration is to be commenced in January and examination is to be conducted from approximately between February and April for the 2024 admissions. Admissions will be made through national entry examinations and centre-based counsellings. It is also possible that a course may require other things over and above the entrance tests. The university follows semesters for studies with examinations usually held in the months of November-December and April-May respectively.

Netaji Subhas University of Technology Eligibility Criteria 2024

1. For undergraduate engineering programs like BTech: Being a medical student, I have to complete 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects. Minimum aggregate of 60% marks (55% S.C./ S.T. candidates) in PCM.

2. For MTech programs: BTech/BE or equivalent engineering degree passing out with score of at least 60% (55% for SC/ST). Standardized GATE examination score required also.

3. For MBA: Bachelor degree from any government-recognized university and a score of 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC). The same as the minimum valid requirement of CAT/MAT score 

4. For Ph.D: Having completed the course at a Master's degree level in the related discipline with a minimum 55% score. Depending on the university, students may have to go through an entrance exam of their own before being accepted as candidates.

5. For diploma programs: Those who gone through class 10+2 exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are eligible. Must have gained at least 45% total marks.

1. Entrance Exam: NSUT Conducts Its NSUT CET (Common Entrance Test) Aptitude Test to Garner Admissions for the Undergraduate and Post Graduate Programs. Anyone who wishes to apply for any programme in this university must appear the NSUT CET exams that are relevant to the program to be applied for.

2. Cut-offs: Cut-offs marks will be decided for different categories and programs calculating the complexity of test, number of seats, and number of contestants in order to select students scoring above the cut-off points.

3. Counselling: Mark vide submits are people who meet the quota mark are shortlisted and are called for round of counselling. There in the ranks are verified and applicants could select a program/course of their choice based on rank, preferences, availability of places. This can for example involve multiple counselling rounds. 

4. Admission Confirmation: After the seat allocation process is done, the next step is that they need to deposit the admission fee within the set time limit, so as to confirm their admission into their allotted programs of NSUT.

NSUT in 2024 Placement Vacancies also continued, with over 80%students secured job offers. Immediate job positions advertising were taken from the information technology, core engineering, consulting and financial services. The maximum one year package was Rs 32 lakh per annum by Microsoft while the average salary rose to Rs 12.5 lakh per annum. Many of the students could secure pre-placement offers from companies that offered them internship opportunities, another testament to the solid industry connection that they had established.
