Natonal Inistitute of Technology Tiruchirappalli or NIT Trichy, as it is commonly known, is one of the thirty one National Institutes of Technology in India which are being instituted by the Government of India. NIT Trichy falls under the category of Institute of National Importance and it is recognized by MHRD, Government of India. It has already been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) where it has been awarded a grade of ‘A’. Recently, NIRF ranking of NIRF has been declared for the year 2023 in which NIT Trichy has been ranked 10th among all the engineering colleges of India.
NIT Trichy provides a Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral programs in almost all fields of Engineering, Science, Management and Humanities. Some of the major streams they are offering are Civil engineering, Mechanical engineering, Electrical engineering, Electronics and Communications engineering, Computer Science and engineering, Chemical engineering and other engineering disciplines and then Management courses like MBA and MCA. NIT Trichy Placements 2024
NIT Trichy is quite impressive and has been very successful in providing its students good job opportunities. Holding the legacy of being one of the most sought after colleges in the state in terms of placements, 2022 did not disappoint as the college secured 92%+ of its students to reputed organizations including Microsoft, Samsung, Mahindra, Bosch, IBM, Infosys, TCS and so on. The maximum compensation package was offered by Microsoft with 43.33 LPA, and the average compensation package was 9.96 LPA. There were 161 companies for campus placements and offere 973 jobs to the batch of students of 2023. Some of the top recruiting companies were Texas instruments with a gross offer of 27.45 LPA, Bajaj Auto offering a package of 16.50 LPA and Qualcomm offering 15 LPA along with some other companies.
