Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education (NICHE) is a private deemed University at Kumaracoil, Thuckalay, Kanyakumari District, Tamil Nadu. NICHE was established in the year of 2009 with UGC approval, and NAAC has accredited with GRADE ‘A’ with a CGPA 3.31. According to the NIRF Rankings 2023 (National Institution Ranking Framework) released recently, NICHE has been placed in the rank of 101-150 among universities in India.
It provides under graduate, post graduate and Ph.D programs in various streams like Engineering and Applied Sciences, Life, Agriculture and Health Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, Pharmacy, Physiology, Nursing, Business Management, Commerce, Computer Applications, Architecture etc. Some of the major tests conducted in NICHE include end of semester tests that are usually administered in November/ December and April/May. For the Fresh Batches, we are going to open admissions for the 2024 batch in Feb 2023. The students can fill online or offline form that are available with the institutions and apply for it. It is essential to note that the candidates are admitted depending on the 12th exams or any other entrance examination conducted by the university. The last date to apply for the Under graduate program is June 2023 ad for the Post Graduate programs the last date is July 2023.
NICHE has relevant and well-developed infrastructures and is very much placement and industry-oriented. Some of the key recruiters are Cognizant Solutions, Infosys, TCS, HDFC Bank, Federal Bank, Apollo Hospitals, L&T. More than 60 percent of eligible students were placed across batches with median pay package of 3 to 5 lakh P.A for BBA/BCom/Btech students for UG and 5 to 8 lakh P.A for MBA/Mcom/Mtech students for PG. The highest package is much as 15 LPA enough for Computer Science Engineering students. Considering the industry interfaces, NICHE has tie-ups with over 200 companies and universities for internships, projects and placements.

Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. For BTech programs – A pass in 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics as compulsory subjects and obtaining at least 50% of the aggregate marks. Should have passed in Mathematics in 10+2 examination securing minimum 45% marks.
2. M.Tech eligibility conditions: – B.Tech./B.E. with minimum 60% marks or CGPA 6.5 on a 10 point scale in the relevant branch of engineering. GATE qualified candidates preferred.
3. For MBBS program - Passed 10+2 exam with PCB securing minimum 50% of marks in aggregate for general candidates. Should have passed in Biology & other science subjects and obtained min. 50% marks in each of the subjects in 10+2 examination.
4. For BSc Nursing program – Candidate passed 10+2 examination in science group Physics, Chemistry, Biology with minimum 45% marks aggrete. Minimum qualification is 2 years certificate in General Nursing Midwifery course recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
5. Diploma courses in Paramedical sciences –Have completed 10+2 from any recognized board with science stream with PCB (Physics, Chemistry & Biology) groups with min 45% overall percentage. For DMLT program having min 45% marks in all subjects in 10+2 examination is required.
6. For admissions into Arts & Science UG programmes –Completion of 10 + 2 examination for the respective stream with minimum 45% marks in the aggregate. For BCom/BBA program, passed 10+2 exam and secured minimum of 45% marks in the aggregate with Mathematics/Accountancy/Commerce as subjects.
