University situated in the state of Arunachal Pradesh in the North Eastern Region of India and the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST) is the name of this university. Located at Nirjuli, Arunachal Pradesh, NERIST was set up in 1983; the institute is accredited by AICTE and UGC. It has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and awarded Grade A in 2020. In NIRF Ranking 2023, NERIST secured NIRF ranking 85 for engineering colleges in India.

1. PASSED 10+2 exam with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology. Having passed in the subject with at least 60% marks (50% for SC/ST).
2. Sat for BTech programs in JEE Main exam and passed it. Qualified GATE for MTech. Candidates NET/SET cleared for doing PhD research program.
3. Passed final examination of requisite bachelor’s degree with at least 60% aggregate marks (55% for SC/ST/PWD) for Master’s degree programs.
4. No age limit. Somewhat lenient rules and regulations for the reserved categories, according to the government rules and regulations.
5. Intonation skills, problem solving skills, leadership qualities, if any, are preferred.
6. Admission requirement for character certificate and medical fitness certificate.
