P. V. Narsimha Rao Telangana Veterinary University, situated in Rajendra Nagar, Hyderabad, established in 2004 offers several Under Graduate and Post Graduate courses in various disciplines. The eligibility criterion for the BVSc & AH program is the students must have passed 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with minimum 50% marks. The BTech Dairy Technology program has an intake provision for Diploma holders in related fields. The MVSc program is available for the graduates of BVSc who passed with at least 55% marks. To the credit of their candidacy for the PhD program, MVSc degree holders have to pass an entrance examination. Other PG diploma and degree programs like MTech, MSc, MBA, etc. have the same eligibility requirements as graduation in the relevant stream with minimum marks needed. The university also holds the All India Entrance Examination for admission to 15% national quota seats for BVSc & AH program on behalf of ICAR.
A Bachelor’s degree programs and Master & PhD programs in over 15 disciplines of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Sciences are: Veterinary Anatomy and Physiology, Biochemistry and Pharmacology, Veterinary Pathology and Microbiology, Parasitology, Veterinary Medicine and Surgery, Animal Nutrition, Animal Genetics and Breeding, and Livestock Production and Management, Poultry Science and Animal Reproduction, Gynecology and Obstetrics etc. The admission of 2024 session Prospective students can visit the official PVNTU website frequently for such changes in the various UG and PG program admission schedules, entrance examination updates, eligibility criteria, reservation policy, and online application process from time to time. Online application process:
Check the official website of the school at www.pvnarasimharao.telangana.gov.in and navigate to the Admissions tab. Choose the preferred programme and apply for the course through an online form, entering and providing the necessary personal information, documents and application fees.
Offline application process:
Go to the university administrative office and collect the application form. Write full details and attach all necessary documents that include mark sheets, certificates, photos etc Complete the application form and attach application and processing fees in the form of demand draft and submit it at the admin office before the last date. The methods of recruiting students include merit, qualifications, and scores obtained in an entrance exam where applicable. After being selected, fees paid confirm admission.
- It is recommended to check the university’s website or the admission office for more information about the specific B.Tech programs and the requirements. In general the requirements for admissions include passing 12th standard with physics, chemistry and mathematics.
- When you find the program you wish to apply for, check the university website in around April-May for the application notice. Application is normally done online.
- Remember there will be a registration and application fee that you will be required to pay. The online application form will have the fields like 12th standard marks, personal details and so on.
- You may need to sit for an entrance exam set by the university or the state, in this case TS EAMCET. This admit card, your rank and scores in this examination are required during the counselling process for the seat allocation.
- Ensure that the counseling sessions are taken at the agreed schedule. Here, you have to make your final selection of program and college depending on your ranks, the criteria and the number of seats available.
1. In the University You are interested in, or the particular department you want to join, it is recommended to check their website for details on the ELIGIBILITY for admission into Ph.D. programme, RESEARCH INTERESTS/SUPERVISORS and PROCESSES/DEADLINE for application.
2. Make sure you fulfill all the requirements set by the university such as academic qualifications, entrance test if any, etc.
3. Assemble all relevant documents which include the application form, statement of purpose, academic transcripts, letters of recommendation and any other document that has been provided in the admission requirements.
4. If needed, sit for CEE, GRE, or any other relevant test and make sure you forward your scores to the university on or before the specified time.
5. After having compiled all your documents, complete your Ph.D. application either online through the university website if the facility is available or manually/ by sending the application to the department that you wish to join. Always ensure that you meet all the submission deadlines for the applications.
6. Contact the department/university where you applied if you have not received any acknowledgement of your application or the status of your admission within 4-6 weeks of submitting the application.
