P.V. Narsimha Rao Telangana Veterinary University (PVNTSVU) is a state university situated at Rajendranagar, Hyderabad, Telangana and offers courses in veterinary, dairy, fisheries science. PVNTSVU was started in the year 2014 and is recognized by VCI (Veterinary Council of India) and offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees.
PVNTSVU provides degree in different specialization in Veterinary Science like B.V.Sc. & A.H., M.V.Sc. and PhD The 2024 undergraduate admission process starts in May every year. Those interested can apply online or send a written application on the prescribed format. The admissions are strictly merit based and are done based on the scores obtained in the ICAR-AIEEA entrance examination. For postgraduate programs, the admissions are merit based in a University conducted examination. Information about the examination dates and other details related to admissions for the year 2024 has not been released yet but will be available shortly on the official website.
As for the placements, PVNTSVU has affiliations with government organizations and some private sectors. Some of the prominent recruiters are Amul India, Boehringer Ingelheim India Pvt. Ltd., Livestock Development Board (AP), Suguna Foods Pvt. Ltd. and Britannia India Ltd. More than 75 percent students were placed in jobs / higher studies in 2022. Freshers received an average salary package of INR 3-6 LPA for graduate students while post graduate students received an average salary of INR 6-10 LPA. Being a leader in skill development and placement opportunities, PVNTSVU plans to ensure 100% placements for its eligible students through enhancing its collaboration and linkages with industries and institutions. The maximum salary offered on campus in 2022 was INR 15 LPA.

1. The candidates must have had their 10+2 or any equivalent examination in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English to be admitted to the BVSc and AH degree program.
2. For MVSc program, candidates must have completed BVSc and AH degree or equivalent qualification with minimum 55% aggregate marks from a recognized university.
3. PhD program needs Master’s degree in the respective field with minimum of fifty five percent marks from any University.
4. Candidates who have cleared ICAR’s National Eligibility Test can apply for admission to PhD program.
5. Candidates already in service under state government, ICAR or any other organization can also apply for MVSc and PhD if they fulfil required criteria.
6. Candidates belonging to the reserved category will be considered as per the rules and regulation of the government for age and percentage relaxation.
P.V Narsimha Rao Telangana Veterinary University (PVNTSVU) is based in Rajendranagar, Hyderabad in the state of Telangana and was founded in 2014. It provides under graduate, post graduate and doctoral programmes in veterinary science, dairy science, fishery science and other related disciplines.
The university has five constituent colleges namely College of Veterinary Science, College of Fishery Science, College Dairy Technology, College of Poultry Science and Livestock Farm Complex. They are mainly concerned with the health, production and efficiency of livestock, poultry and aquatic products.
PVNTSVU provides unique curricula that incorporate new and emerging technology in regard to livestock production, dairy technology, fisheries, poultry science and so on, PVNTSVU is in partnership with national and international institutions for research and academic exchange programs.
