Patna University is a university situated in the city of Patna which is in Bihar and it has courses for a number of fields of study at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. As for BA, the minimum requirement is passing the 12th exams, however, accepting competitive entrace tests like IPU CET, CUET, PAT, etc. For the B.Com program, the applicant requires passing the 12th exam with at least 45% aggregate in Commerce stream subjects and to clear exams such as ICAI. B.Sc. courses like Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Botany, and Zoology to pursue 12th Science stream passing and CUET, BHU UET examination. Postgraduate departments and courses are there in the university MA in nearly 20 subjects like English Literature, Economics, History, Home Science, Psychology, MCA, MBA, M.Sc. like Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and Mathematics, but the aspirants have to clear Bachelors degree examination in relevant discipline along with PUCET/ CUET etc.

In the homepage, the ‘Admission’ tab should be clicked and then one can select the preferred course. More so, it is advisable to read the eligibility criteria and all the other details before proceeding to complete the application form. PU Patna UG Admission 2024

Undergraduate Programs offered to students in Patna University include a range of fields of study located in Patna Bihar. It should be understood that the criteria for eligibility are different depending on the department. For the B.A programs in history, economics, philosophy, psychology and others, candidates are required to have completed their senior secondary examination of the board with 50% aggregate marks as the minimum requirement. There are many accepted exams such as CBSE and Bihar Board examination. For B.Sc. programs in Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Mathematics, the candidate should have 10+2 qualification with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Mathematics as subjects and have passed in at least 50% marks in aggregate. Courses like B.Com. But the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) needs 10+2 in any group with mathematics as extra subject and minimum 50% marks.

PU Patna PhD Admission 2024

Patna University located in Patna, Bihar has fully equipped PhD programs in the faculties of Botany, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Commerce, Economics, History, Psychology, Philosophy, and so on. The basic requirement for one to be considered for admission to a PhD programme is to posse a masters degree in the subject of specialization from a recognized University with at least 55% grade/marks. Facilities for Commerce, Economics, psychology offer UGC NET, GATE, SET or similar exams for admission whereas most of science faculties recruit candidates on the basis of CSIR NET scores. Some courses such as Botany and Chemistry also consider GATE scores for admission to their respective programs. The history and philosophy departments have their own qualifications that are tested for to get into the course.
