Pragyan International University is a self-financed University of international repute established in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. It was founded in 2016, and since then, it has developed into one of the most reputable institutions for education in the area. It is also endorsed by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and acknowledged by the Government of Odisha. It has been NAAC accredited with grade ‘A’ which speaks volumes about the quality infrastructure and educational facilities available in the institution. As per NIRF rankings of 2023, Pragyan has secured 65th rank among all the private universities in India.
It confers numerous programs in several fields such as engineering, management, commerce, computer applications, journalism and mass communication. Some of the most pursued programs are B. Tech, MBA, B. CA, B. A, B. Sc, and B. Com. These semester end examinations are held in the month of December and May every year following the academic calendar. The admission process starts in April through national/state level written tests or mere direct for UG programmes. For the PG courses, PIUET examination is held in the months of May and June by Pragyan. The admission process is open for the newcomers for the session 2024-25 from the month of January to June 2024. They are also offered based on merit.
Pragyan has modern facilities that are located on 50 acres of land. More than hundred reputed companies come for placement every year in the campus and some of them are Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Accenture, IBM etc. The maximum salary offered was 32 lakhs per annum and the average salary offered was 6.2 lakhs per annum in the placement drive conducted in the year 2022. The placement record has been show constant improvement with over 80% of the eligible outgoing students getting placed across sections. Owing to the vast industry interface of Pragyan and the all-round development of the students, the placement record has been this phenomenal ever since its establishment.

1. For admission to the undergraduate programs, the candidates must have passed 12 years of schooling or equivalent examination with 50% marks in the relevant subjects.
2. For the post-graduate programmes, the candidate needs to have relevant bachelor’s degree with minimum 55% marks in the aggregate from recognized university.
3. For the PhD programs, the following criteria needs to be fulfilled: A master degree in the related subject with minimum 60% marks The candidate will have cleared NET/SET.
4. For professional courses like MBBS and Law, the candidates should have passed 12 years of schooling with 50% in physics, chemistry, and biology or any other relevant subjects.
5. Further, there may be some specific requirements attached to the particular program of study such as entrance examinations, interviews, previous academic records etc.
6. As for the educational qualifications, international applicants need certificates of academic suitability such as IELTS/TOEFL and educational documents authenticated by relevant departments.
