Rai Technology University (RTU) is one of the recognized private university in Karnataka placed in Bangalore. In 2012, RTU was set up and is accredited by the UGC and recognized by the Government of Karnataka. It received the grade ‘A’ accreditation of National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with a cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.31 out of 4. According to the NIRF rankings 2023 recently declared, the RTU has been placed at 75 out of all universities in India.

Rai Technology University Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)

1. Applicants should have cleared 10 plus 2 or its equivalent from any recognized board for the bachelor’s degree programs and must have obtained the minimum percentage of marks as per the course they are seeking an admission in. As to the difficulty, marks required are usually 50-60% for the general category students.

2. The pass out diploma holders after 10th standard from any of the recognized technical board can apply for direct admission to the second year of the engineering degree as per the policies of the university.

3. For seeking admission in postgraduate courses such as MBA and MCA, certain essential academic qualifications include a relevant undergraduate degree with the passing percentage marks depending on the specific stream of the course. 

4. In research entities such as those pursuing a Ph.D., candidates must have a postgraduate degree in the relevant field with the minimum pass mark of 55 % or above.

5. Besides academic requirements, university also provides other conditions referring to age and entrance tests, which can be different depending on a particular program. 

6. The eligibility criteria are somewhat relaxed for the reserved category students as per the norms set by the government and they include SC, ST and OBC. Even physically handicap students are also given some sort of concession.

Rai Technology University Courses Details 2024

The Universities consist of Rai Technology University (RTU) delivering Undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs in; Engineering, Management, science and humanities. RTU is also concerned with the incorporation of technology and innovation within the education process. 

Some of the widely pursued degrees in RTU include BTech computer science, Electronics and Communication Mechanical engineering civil engineering Electrical engineering amongst others. The semester fees of the BTech varies between INR 1-1.5 lakhs per annum.

The university also teaches MTech and MSc programs in different fields of specialization. The MTech programs fees ranges between INR 1-2 lakhs per annum for the engineering students and MSc programs range from INR 50,000 to 1 lakh per annum.

This university is well known for its good placement opportunities where students are placed in their desired organizations. Every year, the companies such as TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, Cognizant and Capgemini visit our campus for campus recruitment of graduates. In the placements session more than 80% of the students get placed and the median salary package offered is 5 LPA. The maximum salary was offered which was 24 LPA by Amazon. The company that disclosed the highest market offer last year was Microsoft. Some of the students also received pre placement offers from well known firms such as Adobe, Flipkart and Paytm. A university placement cell offers training sessions from time to time to enable the students to demonstrate how to face the interview sessions and aptitude tests.
