Rajiv Gandhi National Aviation University (RGNAU) situated at Amethi UP India is a specialized aviation university which was established in the year 2013 under the act of Parliament. The University has been accredited by NAAC with an ‘A’ grade and it stands 65 th among the Universities in India as per newly released NIRF Ranking 2023. Its goals are to deliver quality education and training in the field of aviation and achieve the best international standards.
The university provides undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral degree programs in fields of common interest of the airlines industry like aerospace engineering, aviation management, air navigation services, and aviation safety & security. Some of the well-known courses are B.Sc. in Aircraft Maintenance, M.Sc. in Avionics, MBA in Airport Management and Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering. These examinations are administered in the months of May and November every year. For admission in the UG and PG programs candidates are required to clear exams like JEE Main, GATE etc As per the new academic session admission registration will begin from March 2024.
RGNAU has tie-ups with various leading aviation companies to provide the internships and placements for the students of the college. Some of the key recruiters include Indi Go, Air India, Vistara Airlines and air asia india along with internationals like emirates, Etihad Airways and Qatar Airways. The placement rate for 2023 for the eligible students was around 78% with the average pay scale ranging from 5 LPA for ground staff position to 15 LPA for management/ core aviation profile. The highest package offered on campus was 23 LPA sold by Microsoft for an Analyst position.

Rajiv Gandhi National Aviation University (RGNAU) Amethi has launched its aviation and aerospace programs, the university finds decent placement for its students. The placement statistics of 2023 shows the percentage of campus placement which was approximately 60% and the students were placed with reputed companies like Air India, Vistara, IndiGo, SpiceJet and Air Asia, Boeing and Airbus being aviation solution providers. At Boeing, the highest salary package offered was 18 LPA and the range for the other packages offered by the different airlines and associated service providers was between 5-7 LPA.
